Hi there, my name is Vanessa and I’m a freelancer in the media industry. The great thing about being a freelancer is that it allows me the opportunity to pursue my passion with dogs when I have downtime.
Personally, being around dogs brings me a lot of joy and comfort. I enjoy dedicating time to spend with animals because during that period my focus is on them and they have my undivided attention. It’s a good way to be away from all forms of digital distractions.
I work adhoc at a doggy daycare and used to volunteer at a dog shelter for 5 years.
Both have taught me the proper ways to approach and handle dogs of different temperaments. When I was a volunteer, I helped to rehome a few dogs to loving and wonderful adopters. This has taught me the importance of trust and open communication.
I have also fostered a shelter dog for a period of 6 months before he got adpoted. While fostering, I did my best to get him assimilated to life in a house.
I understand the importance of physical and mental stimulation for a dog therefore I enjoy taking the dogs out for long walks (if they are able to handle it).

Details
- Before the session, a quick chat with the owner would be preferred to understand the temperament of their fur kid (sessions can be adjusted accordingly)
- Generally each session will last 1 hour. 10mins meet and greet/leashing, 30-40mins walk around the neighbourhood and 5-10mins settle back home
- Rest assured there will be ample water breaks and photos/videos will be sent to the pawrents for updates
- During the walk, I will be using commercial treats (brand: love em/zignature kangaroo kibbles). If owners prefer I use theirs, please set aside some for me.
***For safety of the human and fur kid, I reserve the right to reject dogs during the meet and greet if they show severe signs of anxiety or aggression
